Economic Assistance Division – Telecommute/within the USA – SPACES Software Product Manager
As a Product Manager, you will use your experience in product management to direct the day-to-day development activities for HHS’s integrated eligibility system known as the Self-Service Portal and Combined Eligibility System (SPACES). The Product Manager plays a key role in ensuring the business needs of the financial assistance programs, including Medicaid, SNAP, CCAP, TANF, and LIHEAP are met through the system in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
As a technical, analytical, and design-focused Product Manager, you will manage the product vision and roadmap. You will also assess value, approve cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work provides maximum value and aligns with the product strategy. The Product Manager will also lead product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities, play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release, and provide updates on product strategy and deliverables on a regular basis to stakeholders.
In addition, you will provide indirect supervision of NDIT product owners and business analysts dedicated to the maintenance and operations of the SPACES eligibility system.
To succeed in this position, you must:
- Have a strong background and understanding of product management approaches and methodologies and can apply them appropriately across multiple workstreams.
- Be a strong communicator, able to clearly present information verbally or in writing.
- Coordinate timelines, meetings, and efforts with different teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Influence and engage team members and stakeholders while balancing the needs of your team with the needs of the project.
- Be a continuous learner and maintain knowledge of new, upcoming, and more advanced technology.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, or a business-related field.
- Experience with Agile software development along with a technical background in development, analysis, and best practices. Emphasis on product development preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working with an enterprise-level platform (like integrated eligibility systems, claims, or MMIS).

Pay: $85,752.00 – $114,324.00 per year
