This is a remote role based in the Los Angeles, CA metro area.
Business Development Manager
Reporting to a Director of Global Markets Business Development, you will deliver annual volume, distribution, sales, and profit goals through detailed Joint Business Planning for the South Korea market in retail and foodservice for our bulk popcorn business, including iconic brands such as ACT II and Orville Redenbacher. Manage trade and business development activities for the region. Manage customer relationships, develop go-to-market models, and input into strategic planning required to deliver Annual Operating Plan goals. Guide the forecasting process and ensure accuracy. Collaborate with finance, marketing, sales operations, supply chain, R&D, and category development. Support new market expansion in other regions and categories.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver P&L objectives for the region: Volume, Net Sales, and Profit. Analyze main levers affecting P&L and recommend actions where needed.
- Develop Joint Business Plans with all customers. Create regional/local plans where needed. Evaluate progress versus targets and recommend changes.
- Execute against previously aligned market prioritization and channel strategies. Evaluate and co-develop future strategy.
- Manage the Global Markets Foodservice bulk popcorn, both planning and execution to deliver AOP goals.
- Responsibility for new market development in Australia and Thailand.
- Create or use existing tools to measure the effectiveness of Trade promotions.
- Maintain pricing following guidelines. Prepare and maintain price ladders.
- Assess distributor partners using established scorecards. Recommend changes wherever needed.
- Whitespace New Markets (post agreement/approval):
- Prepare market entry plans using identified categories and assess distributors to determine the most suitable candidate.
- Launch selected range of Conagra products in the market with the objective of achieving financial, market share, performance objectives, and volume goals.
- Conduct training programs to on-board distributor sales forces and support staff on product knowledge, merchandising, and shelving standards. Manage ongoing programs.
- Implement our Conagra processes with distributors – secondary sales and distribution reporting, forecasting, trade tracking and reporting.
- Manage all market-related operational issues as they arise (e.g., pricing deals/promotions, allowances, customer set-ups, credit holds, product changes, contracts, A/R Issues, Deductions/Returns, changes in local regulations).
- Partner and maintain relationships with teams including Brand, RQI, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
- Conduct meetings and adjust messaging with varied audiences: distributor, broker, retailer.
- International travel up to 25%.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4+ years international sales experience
- Market Entry experience and existing retailer relationships will be an added advantage
- Experience doing deep dives into distributor/company reports, country and brand P&L’s
- Collaborative, with planning and operational skills
- Experience working across different time zones
- Global mindset with the ability to work across cultures

Compensation:
Annual Salary: $100,000.00 – $147,000.00
