The Manger, Payroll & Accounting

Responsibilities:

  • Process and complete semi-monthly and monthly payroll entries for all Cineverse entities, including payroll allocations and reconciliations.
  • Manage processing of employee indicative data changes and payroll input employee changes.
  • Coordinate with HR and management on changes during the pay period.
  • Complete corporate entries related to insurance, benefits, prepaid expenses, accrual entries, and corporate allocations.
  • Aid in monthly bank reconciliations for Cineverse entities.
  • Submit files and reports regarding payroll to retirement and stock databases on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits, including preparing audit confirmations, schedules, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with Worker’s compensation, annual 401k, and Department of Labor audits.
  • Review and action payroll-related mail, while working with the Company’s payroll processor.
  • Liaise with jurisdictions in which the Company is or needs to be registered.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications/Competencies:

  • 5+ years’ experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in payroll management required, preferably BambooHR.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently, without direct guidance, but equally able to adapt to a team environment.
  • Manage and prioritize workload from multiple departments and requestors.
