About this Role
PlanetBids is seeking a creative self-starter to provide effective e-procurement services to government clients. The Vendor Support Specialist (VSS) will offer professional online and phone support to clients and vendors, addressing inquiries and providing superior customer service.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop expert-level understanding of our product line
- Manage incoming calls and support tickets via Zoho
- Provide prompt and thorough customer support
- Resolve product or service problems
- Attract potential customers by answering questions
- Record customer interactions within the support ticketing system
- Perform customer verifications
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts
- Conduct trainings and vendor workshops
- Attend events and conferences across North America when necessary
- Assist in participating in RFP’s and RFI’s, including attending pre-bid meetings and writing proposals
- Conduct client and market surveys, data analysis, and reports
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Required and Desired Skills
- Completion of High School / GED with additional related experience; minimum AA degree preferred
- Knowledge of basic government procurement process
- Proficient in Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Edge, Excel, Word, Email, Google Docs
- Knowledge of Office 365, MS Teams, Zoho, and SalesForce a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven follow-up, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent phone presence and interpersonal skills
- Creative, solution-oriented approach to tasks and challenges
- Hard-working attitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects
- Team mentality with a desire to collaborate across client accounts and teams
