Definiti is a national retirement services company that helps clients manage and administer their retirement plans. We help clients define what’s possible and what’s next for their retirement plans.
Purpose of Position:
The Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) provides support to Retirement Plan Consultants, Senior Retirement Plan Consultants, and Retirement Plan Specialists within the Defined Contribution Line of Business. Supporting through annual administration tasks including:
- Data collection
- Census scrubbing
- Asset reporting
- Importing of information into compliance database
Annual participant vesting updates with Investment Providers. Preparation of Form 5500 and 5558.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collection and review of annual census data and employer questionnaire
- Census imports and data checks
- Investment Provider year-end downloads and imports
- Trust accounting/financial reporting
- Assist with preparation of Form 5500, related schedules, and Form 5558
- Contribution reconciliations
- Facilitate vesting updates with Investment Provider
- Loan and Distribution support
Requirements:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
- Display keen attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills
- Time management focused adhering to deadlines and timelines
- Proficient with numbers and basic calculations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience with financial accounts and banking/financial statements
- Experience working in retirement services and/or financial service industries a plus
- Familiarity with Pension Pro and Actuarial Systems Corporation (ASC) a plus
- Intermediate MS skills to include Excel, Teams, and One Note
- American Retirement Association designation a plus
Remote Working Requirements:
- Ability to build rapport with others remotely while working productively with limited in-person interaction
- Designate a quiet, and well-lit space with a fast internet connection for your workspace, free of as many distractions as possible
- Be online and available during designated business hours in the local time zone
- Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams or virtual-meeting applications to work with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications
- Accustomed to file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Citrix ShareFile
