Fire and Emergency Services Expert
Key Role:
Manages the application of analytical risk and fire and emergency services management principles that enable organizations to achieve mission assurance by preparing for, preventing, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from emergencies. Applies advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Conducts assessments, develops and writes reports, assists with training development, and provides support to and guidance for clients regarding industry accreditation and risk preparedness requirements. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works independently without considerable direction.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Marine Corps or DoD Fire and Emergency Services
- Experience with using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience with fire apparatus specifications and appropriate National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards
- Experience as a Senior Fire Officer such as Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, or Deputy Chief
- Knowledge of the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) Fire Accreditation Program, including core competencies and key performance indicators
- Ability to develop reports and written deliverables independently
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience as a Chief Fire Officer, Chief EMS Officer, or Executive Fire Officer
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Fire Science, or Emergency Management

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
