Job Description
We are seeking a skilled senior Acquisition Policy Analyst to contribute expertise for our esteemed client.
Provide Acquisition Policy/Internal Controls Support
- Assist with the development and recommendation of policies and procedures in the functional area of acquisition.
- Help prepare for Audits.
- Consult and assist the Policy Branch Chief on the development of new/revised policies and procedures covering a wide variety of acquisition and management topics.
- Advise FRA management and acquisition workforce members on matters pertaining to acquisition programs, contracting procedures, and policy interpretation through day-to-day contact and formal/informal correspondence.
- Review all Standard Operating Procedures for content and format, ensuring they are current and comply with recent policies.
- Track Department-level policy, regulations, and guidance relative to acquisition; ensure all departmental guidance is communicated to contracting staff.
- Analyze proposed government-wide acquisition regulations and policies affecting the department, participate in associated working groups, and assist in the analysis, recommendation, and implementation stages.
Internal Controls Support
- Assist the Policy Branch Chief with the establishment of a formal internal control program to manage acquisition programs, maintain data accuracy, and promote efficient information management.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze data trends.
- Define, research, analyze, document, and recommend best business practices process solutions, guidance, legislation, protocols, policies, and integrated tools.
- Assist the Policy Branch Chief with updating the Internal Controls Handbook. Initial draft due within six (6) months of the contract award date. Final draft due within ten (10) months of the contract award date.
- Assist with the development of templates, samples, and acquisition tools in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies, procedures, and regulations as assigned by the Policy Branch Chief.
- Perform Acquisition Documentation Review.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
