Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced education sales professional to join our rapidly growing team! As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our research-based K-12 ELA and math products in your territory and the surrounding area. Your primary focus will be on consultative selling, providing valuable solutions to current and potential clients through face-to-face and virtual meetings. Responsibilities
- Work with K-12 educational programs based on the latest research.
- Promote resources to contribute to improving literacy and math skills among students.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing problem resolution, product updates, and coordinating training.
- Represent the organization at local, state, regional, and national conferences and exhibits.
- Engage directly with educators, administrators, and decision-makers by traveling to various educational institutions within your assigned territory.
- Join a collaborative sales team, benefit from collective knowledge, and contribute to the success of the team.
- Utilize knowledge of current K-12 structured literacy best practices to demonstrate the value of educational intervention products.
- Deliver engaging sales presentations tailored to different stakeholders.
- Organize and transport necessary sales and marketing materials for presentations.
- Follow up promptly on sales leads, document activities to maintain a clear sales pipeline.
- Craft professional correspondence with potential leads and new clients.
- Provide regular sales forecasts based on adoption schedules and presentations.
- Leverage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for documentation and analysis.
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of prior experience selling K-12 curriculum, with a preference for ELA experience.
- Track record of consistent sales success over the last 3+ years.
- Prior teaching or education administration background is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Independent thinker contributing to a collaborative sales team environment.
- Effective public speaking abilities for large groups, in-person and virtually.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and possess an automobile.
Travel Requirements
Anticipate travel ranging from 30% to 80% of the time, depending on seasonality, including regular overnight trips and occasional weekends. Emphasize the exciting opportunities for networking and professional growth that come with attending conferences and exhibits.
