Summary of Duties:
As a YA Equipment Consultant, you will provide high quality consulting services relating to the inspection, evaluation, and value damage assessment of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment for YA’s principal customers, which includes insurance companies, third-party adjusters, law firms, independent businesses, and insureds. Equipment Consultants will provide clients with a written report overviewing their recommendation, extent of damage, and cost to return equipment to a pre-loss condition, determined by performing financial analysis. Consultants are responsible for maintaining positive client relationships and supporting business growth and development within their respective regions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Schedules and conducts inspections and field assessments to evaluate damage to electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment for clients.
- Reviews and synthesizes relevant information to prepare damage estimates, scopes, and written project reports.
- Works with appropriate vendors to determine the best path forward in correcting damage and managing the associated costs.
- Maintains a clear understanding of the claims process.
- Performs analysis of invoices, budgets, schedules, and reports on behalf of the clients.
- Compiles and processes data tables.
- Communicate and correspond regularly with clients, insurance companies, adjusters, and insureds.
- Participates in regular client meetings and supports business development initiatives.
- Provides high quality continuing education courses to clients as needed or requested.
- Works independently or as part of a team depending on the size of project.
- Maintains job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
- Provide quality control reviews of other consultant’s work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; other degrees or experience considered
- 7+ years of relevant experience in field (such as field service, consulting, estimating, or insurance damages)
- Ability to travel required (up to 50%)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Please note that the base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 and will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
