Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) Donor Center Coordinator Position
Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) is offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time Donor Center Coordinator. This role involves:
- Triage/screening and evaluating potential organ, tissue, and eye donors
- Obtaining medical and social history
- Working with hospital partners, coroners, processors, donor families, and relevant agencies
- Facilitating donation processes
- Ensuring all donors and potential donor families are offered the opportunity of tissue and eye donation
- Assisting in the training of staff
- Maintaining accurate donor center information
This position requires 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations. It is 100% remote upon completion of orientation.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent typing and data entry skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience using multi-line phone systems
- Intermediate medical terminology specific to critical care healthcare
Preferred:
- Associates degree, medical-related certification, or some post-secondary education
- Experience in call center environment, EMS dispatch, social work, nursing, or medical assistant roles
- Medical Assistant, LPN, or similar
