Specialty Sales Consultant Position
The Specialty Sales Consultant (SSC) is responsible for the direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products, as well as the development and management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists in an assigned geographical territory. As an integral part of the commercial team, the SSC works towards implementing Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ marketing strategies and tactics to achieve short-term and long-term objectives. This position reports directly to a Regional Sales Manager.
- MUST HAVE PHARMACEUTICAL SALES EXPERIENCE
- Educate physicians and other healthcare professionals about Jazz Pharmaceuticals products, providing the most current information about approved indications.
- Achieve sales forecasts and targets.
- Participate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information.
- Analyze the SSC’s designated territory to understand prescribing and purchasing decision processes.
- Identify key physicians, healthcare providers, and organizations within the assigned territory.
- Prepare a business plan and area tactical plan for the SSC’s assigned territory.
- Implement approved plans within established timelines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Present a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, ensuring activities align with ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies and procedures.
- Comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines.
- Perform all activities within allocated budget.
Job Requirements:
- Four-year college/university degree or equivalent is required.
- Post-graduate business school study, training is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- At least two years of specialist sales experience is preferred.
- Specialist sales experience in Central Nervous System therapeutics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product(s), competitor product(s), and applicable disease states desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong planning, and organizational skills are required.
- Self-motivation and ability to excel in a team environment.
- Ability to travel to meet territorial requirements.

Compensation:
Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $100,000-$131,250. The exact base pay offered will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and experience.
Total Compensation Package:
Base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation, in accordance with the terms of the Company’s Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz’s Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
