General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Seed Operations Specialist will support the defined seed objectives, including sales strategies for proprietary seed products and preferred national supplier brands of corn, soybeans, cotton, alfalfa, and cover crops. Acting as the main point of contact for the seed sales team, this role requires the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business or related fields preferred; other degrees considered with related operations experience
- Desired knowledge of corn, soybean, sorghum, and alfalfa production
- Understanding of environmental, regulatory, and stewardship requirements for various technology products
- Strong operational background with a good working knowledge of systems and standard industry practices
- Solid communication skills and people management abilities

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with seed sales team, customers, and key market influencers

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:
- Provide support for the seed business across a defined sales area
- Process and manage grower orders, aligning them with on-hand inventory or facilitating seed swaps
- Support sales team with logistics and inventory management
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $62,500 – $83,370. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and offers vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
