As an Experienced Freight Broker/Sales professional, you will have the chance to showcase your skills and expertise in freight brokerage within a 3PL non-asset-based environment. You will play a crucial role in negotiating deals, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving business growth. With a competitive base salary of $30,000, plus commissions and a generous bonus of up to 5% of margin generated, you will have the opportunity to earn a substantial income while making a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in freight brokerage to match carriers with shippers effectively.
- Negotiate rates and contracts to ensure maximum profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders in the industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base and revenue streams.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track and manage client interactions.
- Monitor and resolve any issues or concerns related to shipments, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and strategies to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Stay informed about the latest regulations and compliance requirements in the transportation and logistics industry.
Skills:
- Proven experience and success in freight brokerage within a 3PL non-asset-based environment.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Exceptional sales and business development abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
Salary, Bonus, Commission structure:
- $30,000.00 Salary Draw
- 40% Commission up to $2,500 / week in margin
- 45% Commission up to $4,000 / week in margin
- 50% Commission for anything over $4,000 / week in margin
- 5% of team generated BR (sub-agents)
Commissions will be paid bi-weekly in full for all loads submitted by Wednesday.
