Summary
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Sales, this remote role serves as a critical bridge to Onset’s ambitious long-term growth strategy. The Sales Manager – Environmental & Agricultural Solutions will be tasked with expanding new business within Onset’s existing customer base while simultaneously identifying and cultivating new accounts. This will be achieved through adept customer relationship management and a proactive presence in markets that closely align with Onset’s product offerings.
The successful candidate for this position should possess five to seven years of sales experience, a strong foundation in environmental sciences, and an extensive network spanning various markets, including:
- Agricultural research
- Orchard & vineyard monitoring
- Crop production monitoring
- Precision livestock management
- Climate monitoring
- Environmental compliance
Exceptional communication skills are a prerequisite for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cultivate a deep understanding of product knowledge and applications relevant to the market
- Foster strong cross-functional collaborations within the organization to efficiently address customer needs and contribute to the company’s future roadmap
- Participate in strategy development designed to generate substantial high-revenue business
- Construct a robust sales pipeline and maintain its consistent flow
- Uncover and nurture fresh business prospects, including OEM and integration with partner applications
- Collaborate with clients to establish and execute mutually beneficial programs that expand Onset’s market presence, including the higher education sector
- Initiate early engagement with relevant government agencies
- Stay vigilant for new growth opportunities for Onset’s business
- Establish connections with influential decision-makers among our customers
- Identify the requirements and hurdles faced by potential customers
- Arrange exploratory meetings with prospective clients.
- Anticipate up to 35% domestic travel as needed

Education
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, business, or related disciplines
