Description:

Intake Referral Coordinator

• 5×8 8:30-5pm Monday-Friday
• Fully Remote (including Orientation)
• LOCAL ONLY please unless willing to use their own equipment
• IF Local, Equipment will be provided
• Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years exp working in ambulatory health care clinic OR
  • Associate degree plus 4 years exp working in ambulatory health care clinic OR HS Diploma plus 6 years exp working in ambulatory health care clinic.
  • 1 yr exp in medical office setting, including high volume of patient phone calls, high level of multitasking, and scheduling.
  • Basic computer keyboarding skills required
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing.
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Preferred: Exp using Epic

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process incoming referrals
   • a. Process incoming referrals and verify that the information received is accurate and complete
   • b. Verify correct information for referral based on Intake Matrix
   • c. Route referral in Epic to correct department work queue
2. Identify initial medical records needed
   • a. Use scheduling Matrix to identify medical records that are needed for medical review or patient visit
   • b. Send initial request(s) for those records

$23.00 – $24.00 per hour

• Insurance verification: 3 years (Preferred)

• Epic: 3 years (Preferred)
• Ambulatory health care clinic: 3 years (Preferred)
