Director Position

This role, within Nationwide’s Excess and Surplus Wholesale division, provides operational accountability and responsibility for the Individual Risk Brokerage business. As the leader of this team, you will:
- Face off directly to the Vice-Presidents leading their respective verticals
- Ensure day-to-day operational readiness of all platforms and processes
- Derive detailed strategic roadmaps for the future
- Deliver upon the work necessary to achieve long-term business goals
This role is also responsible for maintaining strong alignment with all value-chain and business support functions, such as Claims, UW, Pricing, Reserving, Technology, Data, etc.
Pay band H3 (internal use only).

- Directs all activities for team involving business transformation through the strategic application of people, processes, and technology.
- Manages staff who consult on business process analysis, organizational analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis.
- Leads associates involved with process management and consultation between business customers and systems area for development and implementation of new business processes and procedures.

Typical Skills and Experiences:
- Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field strongly preferred. Graduate studies are highly desired.
- Experience: Ten plus years of dynamic experience in planning, designing, and implementing company-wide business transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Expert knowledge of standards, methodologies, and frameworks, business process management and technology.

- Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Extended work hours may be required based on workload. May require occasional travel.

Salary Information:
The national salary range for Director, Business Consulting: $105,000.00-$201,000.00
The expected starting salary range for Director, Business Consulting: $114,000.00 – $170,000.00
