Student Financial Accountability and Return-to-Title-IV (R2T4) Compliance Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Financial Aid R2T4 Specialists are responsible for calculating the Return to Title IV for schools contracted with FA Solutions. The FA R2T4 Specialist will occasionally perform other financial aid processes including, but not limited to verification, packaging, or disbursing funds.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Calculate and complete the Return to Title IV
  • Calculate state refund calculations, as applicable
  • Ensure appropriate documents are on file to complete the calculation
  • Send communications regarding the calculation, including exit counseling as applicable
  • Strong understanding of the school(s) Policies and Procedures
  • Work with comptroller/Business Office to ensure accurate and timely exchange of information between operating systems
  • Process all steps of document review, originating, disbursing, notifying disbursements for federal funding
  • Work closely with clients to identify and address areas of improvement
  • Research complex regulatory issues and provide responses
  • Complete Verification, ISIR corrections, Professional Judgement and C-Code reviews
  • Communicate with clients and co-workers in written and verbal format
  • Maintain compliance in all areas of responsibility
  • Other Duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years financial aid experience
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in completing Return to Title IV calculations
  • Experience in a variety of financial aid management systems
  • Experience processing federal funds in a variety of academic year structures
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Adaptability with strong organizational skills
