About the Role: Lead Social Media Manager
As the Lead Social Media Manager at Classy, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy. Your responsibilities include:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy aligning with company goals.
- Content Creation: Create and curate engaging content for our target audience.
- Platform Management: Oversee Classy’s presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
- Audience Engagement: Build and nurture a strong online community, engaging with followers and responding promptly.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations.
- Campaigns and Promotions: Plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns aligning with specific initiatives and KPIs.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends and social media best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team and GoFundMe partners during crisis response moments.
Requirements
- Location: This position requires the candidate to be based in San Diego.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience in social media management with a proven track record of success.
- Skills: Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices. Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Qualities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, creativity, analytical skills, crisis management abilities, and strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nonprofit Experience: Prior social media experience in the nonprofit sector.
- Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with key marketing tools, including but not limited to SproutSocial, Marketo, Salesforce, and Asana.
