Social Media & Marketing Assistant

We are a fun, late-night cookie shop that sells delicious treats such as cookies, ice cream, edible cookie dough, milkshakes, frappes, cold brew coffees and more!
As our Social Media and Marketing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping us develop and execute various Social Media and Marketing initiatives. In addition to helping create and post social media campaigns, you will also help us create, plan and manage events, promotions, loyalty program initiatives, as well as develop relationships with local businesses and organizations to grow our catering business.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in managing social media accounts and campaigns and engage with followers.
- Create, schedule and post social media posts.
- Conduct market research and analyze customer trends and behaviors.
- Monitor and report on marketing campaign performance.
- Assist in creating engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and website content.
- Support the planning and organization of marketing events and trade shows.
- Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create visually appealing and impactful marketing materials.
- Maintain and update marketing databases and customer records.
- Inside and Outside Sales promoting our catering products and services.
Requirements:
- A self-starter who is energetic, takes initiative and is always moving things forward.
- A flexible schedule (able to work various days, nights and weekends)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and a good understanding of current marketing trends.
- Previous experience or internships in marketing or a related field is a BIG plus.
Position Details:
This is currently a part-time position (20+ hrs / week) with potential for full time down the road.
This position starts at $14 / hour with performance bonuses. Help us grow our sales and watch your pay grow!
This is NOT a 100% remote, work from home position. We need someone to spend time in the store to understand our products and to create original marketing and social media materials such as photos and videos of our store and products as well as host events like our Cookie Challenge and / or social media livestreams.
You’ll need to have a flexible schedule. Promoting our catering services is something best done during business hours, events are often on weekends and for social media reasons you’ll need to be in the store evenings and weekends when we are busiest. The perfect candidate will be available during various times of the day in order to help us promote and market to our diverse customer demographic.
