Job Requirements
- Basic Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree Preferred: Master Degree
- Preferred Fields of Study: Accounting, Finance
- Certification(s) Preferred: CPA, EA or Member of the Bar
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
- Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:
- Performing federal, state, local tax return review, tax regulations, tax compliance, and tax consulting issues.
- Understanding partnership and partner tax allocations.
- Understanding foreign reporting requirements, including information returns and foreign withholding for all entities.
- Monitoring tax compliance requirements across multiple domestic and international entities and managing ongoing tax audits.
- Conducting tax research, including strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
- Working with financial statements and transaction level journal entry detail.
- Understanding financial systems, business processes, organization structure, and legal structure related to filing requirements and planning opportunities.
- Coordinating with other departments within the Firm to prepare, review, and analyze reports necessary for the preparation of the Firm’s tax returns.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
- Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize processes.
- Creating a positive environment, monitoring workloads, providing meaningful feedback, and participating in the hiring process.
- Keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
- Collaborating with team members virtually and managing and supporting the work/life balance of the team.
- Building relationships with other groups and stakeholders across the Firm.
