Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving activities associated with the Request for Proposal (RFPs) process. As a valued member of our team, you will be tasked with researching, organizing, and synthesizing information to ensure the highest quality of service is provided under strict deadlines, all while adhering to the Company’s policies. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in resolving issues associated with the RFP process, taking ownership from start to finish.
You will collaborate with internal departments to create additional documents supporting the sales cycle and assist the Content Database Manager in developing and maintaining proposal-ready content as a reference tool for future proposals or internal requests.
- This role is remote and can be located nationally in most states (excluding CA, NY, Alaska, and Hawaii).
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field OR 4 years of proposal writing experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of proposal management experience, specifically in the national/major or public sector.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex RFPs for large, national employer groups.
- Proficiency in quickly reviewing and analyzing proposal solicitations and related documents to extract pertinent information.
- Demonstrated experience supporting highly customized proposal responses tailored to the client.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to work effectively in a team and cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously lead the proposal process from beginning to end, handling multiple RFPs/projects simultaneously.
- PC skills and experience in Microsoft products.
- Verbal and written communication skills for completing Responses for Proposals, coordinating activities with various departments, and incorporating layman terms in the proposal.
- Demonstrated project management, organizing, planning, and scheduling skills.
- Demonstrated creative and business writing skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Experience and skills with proposal automation software such as Responsive (formerly RFPIO).
- Basic experience with Salesforce, Sharepoint, and Teams.
- Proposal writing experience in the commercial healthcare industry.
