The Role
The Director of Quality is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality systems and processes throughout our organization. The ideal candidate ensures that the company meets quality standards set by regulatory and customer requirements. This position is also responsible for ensuring that quality practices comply with applicable standards, regulations, and procedures. Japanese language skills or experience working in Japan are strongly desired, but not required.
We are open to remote candidates if willing to do some travel to our North American locations.
As a Director of Quality, you can expect to:
- Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure goals are achieved
- Develop and implement quality standards to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Lead and manage the regional Quality Assurance team, including Plant Quality Managers, Quality Engineers, etc.
- Utilize statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in processes
- Analyze and report on quality metrics, trends, and performance
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to standards
- Monitor supplier performance and evaluate supplier auditing processes
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and external parties
- Develop and implement quality training programs

- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards
