Project & Prog Mgmt Managing Consultant Position
We are currently seeking a Project & Prog Mgmt Managing Consultant to join our team in Salem, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US). This position provides coordination and support for the Project Management Office (PMO) efforts at NTT DATA. The IT Managing Consultant works closely with project leadership, state staff, and other vendors to ensure the successful delivery of NTT DATA PMO services. Responsibilities include plan development, status reporting, training, and other PMO-related services as directed by NTT DATA project leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead projects involving in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Execute schedules, costs, and documentation for successful project conclusion.
- Initiate corrective action to stay on project schedules.
- Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and participate in sales and proposal presentations.
- Facilitate internal team and external client meetings.
- Develop integrated project management plans, sub-plans, schedules, and work plans.
- Provide advanced knowledge of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture.
- Collaborate with senior client leadership on project or program strategy and execution.
- Work with client Master Scheduler to develop integrated program schedules.
- Develop and present weekly and monthly executive status reports.
- Mentor and review work of less experienced employees regularly.
- Ensure project work is completed on time and with high quality.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with medium to large-sized information technology projects.
- Minimum of three (3) years consulting in a PMO.
- Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience working in government.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing project budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
This is a part-time position, 30 hours a week.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a consultant in a client-facing role.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business process improvement.
Compensation Information:
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $63,000 – $95,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors including work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. Incentive compensation may be available based on individual and/or company performance.
