Reporting into the Director, the Associate Director, Performance Strategy role is perfect for someone who enjoys data, mentorship, multi-channel, thought leadership, and nurturing client relationships. You will be an experienced media trailblazer with experience overseeing performance (direct response) media strategy and execution from end-to-end, excel at improving operational efficiencies and can create positive, meaningful change.
You Will:
- Collaborate with dentsu teams, balancing the needs of the client with the needs of the team/agency to guarantee a “one team” mentality
- Provide relevant insights and optimizations on media performance to guide greater efficiency and results for clients across digital
- Support development of client measurement plans and translation of measurement frameworks into performance KPIs in partnership with Audience Activation, SEM, and Integrated media
- Align with Audience Activation, Analytics & Technology teams who will lead planning and implementation of the media buys
- Coordinate to deploy audience first, data-driven media planning and execution
- Perform analysis on the media mix rationale, budget distribution, forecasting, and segmentation
- Help develop an audience 1st and data-driven marketing approach across all digital planning and ensure campaigns are managed in a manner to facilitate consumer first, measurement and data hygiene and optimized to deliver the best performance
- Develop cohesive digital cross-channel recommendations and plans (search, social and programmatic
- Use and incorporate into plans dentsu audience assets (such as M1)
- Work with client teams for audience segmentation strategy and activation
- Develop modern and industry-leading total performance services for assigned clients, ensuring client expectations and our goals are met
- Be client lead, representing performance services, bringing different performance services together against one end goal
- Vet recommendations from teams (media, creative, technology), ensuring they are holistic in nature and on strategy
- Manage junior team members
Qualifications
- 6+ years in digital media planning and execution (within paid search, paid social or programmatic)
- Fluency in SEM, PLA, Display, Programmatic & Paid social with deep specialization in at least 2 of these channels
- Minimum of 2+ years managing/supervising a team of employees
- Experience managing acquisition-focused campaigns across a variety of business verticals
- Able to navigate and speak to the complexities of the digital media landscape across disciplines
- Persuasive storyteller and presenter. Must be comfortable developing and delivering strategic presentations and able to think on one’s feet
- Highly quantitative, analytical, and a technical self-starter, including the ability to process and understand large data sets and clearly articulate program status to management
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$106,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
