Summary of Role:

At Fast Lab Technologies, we’re looking for a qualified and experienced Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to support our fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, including working with 100+ employees (experience in a remote environment is a huge plus). The HRG will report directly to the HR Manager and will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full-cycle recruitment for various positions (drafting job descriptions, posting, interviewing, offer letters, 1099 agreements)
  • Onboarding/offboarding of new employees and 1099 contractors.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientations.
  • Ensure new and existing employees complete mandatory trainings.
  • Counseling of employees who are not abiding by company policies, procedures, and/or not performing to company standards.
  • Suggest improvements for efficiency gaps or unnecessary costs
  • Assist in the weekly and semi-monthly payroll administration.
  • Manage employee time-off requests.
  • Assist the HR Manager in implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws.
  • Assist HR Manager with creating SOP’s.
  • Filing of employee personnel files, I-9’s, and other employment-related documents.
  • Conducting background checks for both employees and contractors.
  • Attend daily and weekly company meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Must be highly organized and able to pivot quickly without jeopardizing accuracy and quality of work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures and Policies (Preferred, not required)
  • Critical thinking skills, problem solving, and strategic planning.
  • Previous experience working with start-up companies is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Experience using Google Suite, Indeed, Gusto payroll, HubStaff (preferred, not required)
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to change.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s highly desired.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager.
  • At least 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • At least 5 years experience with employee relations.
  • At least 5 years supporting payroll administration.
  • Must know federal employment laws.
  • Be familiar with NYC employment laws (corporate and warehouse are based in NY)
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work remote 80% of the time with little or no interference to performance or quality of work.
  • Ability to create professional presentations, excel spreadsheets, and Word documents.
  • Candidates who complete the Assessment and Pre-screen Video interview will be given preferential consideration.
