We Are Hiring: Senior Director of Sales Operations
We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Sales Operations to play a crucial role in building a scalable foundation for performance management, predictable growth, and best-in-class client outcomes. This remote position will support a US-based sales team and our executives headquartered in Nashville.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Sales Strategy and Support:
- Define and deliver techniques to improve funnel performance for sales management
- Support the sales team with process improvement, measurement, tracking, and analytics
- Maintain regular check-ins with Sales Leadership for tracking against plan
Analytics and CRM:
- Architect and action the customer management platform for strategic acceleration
- Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics
- Track and analyze key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment
Performance Management:
- Support definition of weekly, monthly, and quarterly objectives for sales team
- Design and support sales compensation programs
- Bring a culture of accountability and visibility to the sales and GTM teams
Skills and Qualifications
- Ten or more years of work experience in sales operations strategies
- Energy software and climate tech commercialization experience preferred
- Deep expertise in sales process management
- Substantial experience with CRM management (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of success in lead advancement
- Highly motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
MBA preferred

Accountabilities
- Define clear sales metrics for success and measurement process in CRM
- Ensure consistent CRM use as the “source of truth” for deal and customer data
- Build reporting in CRM for strategic management of GTM
- Establish a clear process for sales team compensation/commissions related to deal milestones
Supervision Received
The Senior Director of Sales Operations will report directly to Cortex’s Chief Revenue Officer and will receive regular supervision and at least weekly check-ins.
