Seafood National Sales Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing book of business while actively seeking new trading opportunities with national seafood distributors.
  • Utilize your contacts and industry knowledge to expand the company’s reach and market share in the fresh seafood sector.
  • Oversee the trading of seafood, both from the company’s own boats and from external sources, ensuring a consistent supply and quality.
  • Analyze and manage live inventory to create and maximize margins and move products effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed targets, focusing on fresh seafood sales, not frozen.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key players in the national seafood distribution network.
  • Operate independently without the need for training or supervision, demonstrating a high level of expertise and initiative.


  • Extensive experience in seafood trading, including procurement and sales, specifically in the fresh seafood sector.
  • Proven track record of selling to national seafood distributors, with a deep understanding of the industry and market trends.
  • Ability to manage live inventory and create sales margins to move products quickly and profitably.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate independently in a niche market.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.
  • Must be based within the Pacific Time Zone, with the flexibility to work remotely.

This role requires a candidate who can hit the ground running, with no available training or guidance.
