Position Summary
Community Brands is seeking an individual to help drive a comprehensive product strategy across our NonProfit solutions. As the Director, you will define and lead our product strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing business opportunities across the division. The Director will be an integral part of the product leadership team, deeply embedded in each business unit and working collaboratively across functions. This role requires strong qualitative skills, strategic thinking, and sound business judgment, along with the ability to think creatively, work independently, and drive results across delivery teams.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Vice President Product Management for Education and Nonprofit Solutions.
A Day in the Life
- Own and articulate a vision for Community Brands customers that creates value through a shared user journey across all NonProfit products.
- Develop business cases (business plan, market research, pricing decisions, positioning) for strategic initiatives, as needed. Help monitor product costs, ROI, and status of business case through execution.
- Partner with business leadership to ensure roadmaps are consistently aligned to strategic goals and delivering business value.
- Support Product Managers to develop themes and strategic roadmap initiatives for all NonProfit products, illustrating direction and key phases of development.
- Support Product Marketers to drive product lifecycle through a full range of go-to-market activities, including analysis, pricing, positioning, messaging, collateral creation, and launches.
We are looking for someone who brings
- 7+ years professional experience in product management, with 2+ years experience directly managing software Product team
- Deep knowledge of product best practices in an Agile environment
- B.A./B.S. degree or related work experience
- Experience working within scaled agile (SAFe) methodology and Program Increment planning a plus
- Proven track record building successful relationships and partnerships at all organizational levels, internally, externally, intra and interdepartmentally. Strong client focus with exceptional collaborative and influencing skills.
- People management skills, with experience directly managing a SaaS product team
- Experience managing multiple product lines with the ability to work independently and handle priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to manage big picture and dig into details when necessary.
- An eye for detail and organization, with the ability to produce and track a plan, holding contributors responsible.
- Excellent analytical skills with expertise in market and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate product vision into tangible value for customers.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to build internal awareness and excitement about product strategies across various audiences (both technical and non-technical).
- Must be a self-starter.
