A Critical Leadership Role in Software Engineering
Overview: We are seeking a forward-thinking innovative leader to guide our transformational team of software engineers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Enterprise Quoting Applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong business relationships with senior and operating level staff.
- Understand and recommend improvements to Business Processes using existing IT capabilities.
- Stay abreast of business strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Act as a Thought Partner, engaging with Business Owners to suggest IT solutions.
- Educate business partners on roles, responsibilities, and processes for effective delivery.
- Escalate and follow-through on resolution of issues related to technology solutions.
- Ensure delivery success criteria alignment with business partners.
- Accountable for identifying needs and monitoring progress of deliverables.
- Communicate progress to senior IT and Business leadership.
- Ensure quality of product code through testing and documentation.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improved user experiences.
- Organize and maintain performance of application issues according to agreed SLA.
- Ensure projects/programs are completed within committed time and budget.
- Maximize productivity of a team of software engineers.
- Day-to-day management of 5-10 IT professionals.
- Establish and manage IT application development process disciplines and standards.
- Coach and assist employees in individual career development and training plans.
- Participate in the design, configuration, deployment, integration, development, and maintenance of IT solutions and applications.
Skills/Competencies:
- Advanced understanding of Quoting and CRM software.
- Experience leading diverse teams in multiple technical platforms.
- Experience in a multi-disciplined, cross-functional technical organization.
- Advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, and IT controls.
- Exposure to various technologies such as multi-tiered applications, databases, LDAP, directory services, application servers, and network infrastructure.

Compensation:
The starting compensation range for this job is $90,400 to $123,400. Actual base pay depends on the candidate’s primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
College degree in a Technical or related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 9 years professional level related Technical experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
