Labcorp: Senior Manager of Financial and Strategic Communications

Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Financial and Strategic Communications plays a crucial role in developing, executing, and supporting Labcorp’s strategic communication initiatives. This role focuses specifically on financial communications, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate responsibility, and crisis communications. Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial and Strategic Communications, the Senior Manager holds accountability for both external and internal communication strategies.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive, global communications strategy articulating Labcorp’s enterprise story and value proposition.
- Provide strategic communications counsel for corporate responsibility initiatives, including environmental responsibility, diversity, equity, and belonging.
- Serve as a communications partner for M&A activities, coordinating closely with deal partners on strategy communication plans.
- Support the development of communications strategies that advance Labcorp’s business performance narrative, collaborating with Investor Relations and Finance teams.
- Create comprehensive communications materials, including news releases, talking points, presentations, and award submissions.
- Effectively manage issues and crisis communications, including legal matters, to protect Labcorp’s reputation.
- Liaise with Labcorp’s agencies to assess media opportunities, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with Labcorp Social Media and Enterprise Communications to ensure channel alignment for key business activities.
- Work closely with Product and Business Communications team to ensure communications alignment and share best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum years of relevant experience required: 8
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives around complex concepts.
- Expertise in media, public relations, crisis communications, employee engagement, and communications.
- Strong background in the healthcare industry preferred.
- Experience working for a publicly traded company preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Pay Range: $120,000 – $130,000 annually + annual bonus
Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
