Position Overview
Shockwave Medical is committed to supporting the clinicians that use our products with a robust offering of educational programs. The primary focus will be contributing to key functions within the Medical Education team to meet the department’s strategic objectives. While contributing to the execution of the medical education programs, this individual will manage event reconciliation functions, provide customer service to internal & external customers and administrative support to the Medical Education team. This position can be performed remote and will report into the Associate Director, Professional Relations and Operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage program-related expenses & program reconciliation in a timely manner, including but not limited to: HCP speaker honoraria, attendee reimbursements, vendor payments, grant payments, etc.
- Manage data flow and compliance needs associated with department records/files, including HCP speaker contracts, sign in sheets, and other program documents.
- Generate reports and dashboards for quarterly/annual business metrics.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience for clinicians and ensure strong communication with internal stakeholders, resulting in above benchmark customer feedback.
- Support the planning and execution of high impact educational events for our customers, working closely with event managers and sales organization.
- Manage department credit card reconciliation process.
- Assist in creating marketing tools to advertise & market Medical Education events.
- Assist with attendee registrations and contact information for Medical Education events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or related job experience.
- Minimum 3 years meeting support experience.
- Prior experience planning and executing events and meetings in a heavily regulated environment such as medical device is required.
- Ability to build successful partnerships with the sales force, develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge & adherence of health care compliance laws & regulations
- Effective communication skills with all levels of management and organizations.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet customer needs while operating in a highly regulated environment with strong respect for process and compliance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Some travel may be required
