Resource Innovations – Energy Efficiency Field Inspector

Resource Innovations is actively seeking an Energy Efficiency Field Inspector to conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) field audits for income- and age-qualified utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and implement the field and internal verification process across multiple programs and clients.
• Conduct onsite inspections and document findings in a cloud-based system.
• Develop and implement QA/QC requirements and implementation plans.
• Provide education, training, and coaching to trade allies.
• Communicate effectively with trade allies, residential customers, and multifamily property owners.
• Attend monthly meetings with the client and report key QA inspection findings.
• Keep up to date on industry trends and insights.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss field activity and trade allies’ performances.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience in a quality control and quality assurance role, or consulting, energy efficiency, residential solar PV systems, or utility experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of building science, construction, and technical expertise is required.
• BPI Building Analyst and Envelope certifications preferred.
• HERS and RESNET Rater Certification preferred.
• Ability to travel 50% to 75% of the time, mostly in Virginia with occasional trips to North Carolina.
• Must be comfortable working with the public, trade allies, contractors, and property owners.
