Scott Social is a boutique social media marketing agency in Phoenix, Arizona. We elevate and streamline the social media and digital marketing efforts of small businesses, from beautiful content creation to heart-to-heart community management and everything in between.
We’re looking for an experienced copywriter and social media strategist who’s available for 20-25 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Have a true passion for digital marketing and social media
- Become an integral part of the team to plan, create, and manage brand-consistent digital marketing strategies for multiple clients.
- Write and edit clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for captions, blogs, promotional emails, infographics, and all forms of social media.
- Consistently design error-free content without spelling, grammatical, and formatting mistakes and meet all assigned deadlines.
- Maintain brand guidelines when overseeing graphic design and sourcing miscellaneous content, then use this content to plan & design an aesthetically pleasing Instagram grid.
- Engage in daily community management which requires listening and responding to the client’s audience using a brand-consistent voice.
- Analyze monthly analytics, track ROI of campaigns, and adapt social media strategies as needed to increase effectiveness.
- Optimize the language, tone, and message of social media strategies based on our clients’ target audience’s behaviors.
- Think outside the box to brainstorm unique, original, innovative, and relevant concepts that stand apart from the competition.
- Assist with client communication through email correspondence, monthly calls, content edits, and analytics reporting.
- Love creating fun content for Reels, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborate with the team to develop unique campaigns and content calendars for clients.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Writing Skills – Consistently write error-free content without spelling, grammatical, and formatting mistakes.
- Attention to Detail – Must be detail-oriented; able to follow processes and routines. Execute social media publishing strategies ensuring that all posts are accurate, punctual, safe, and on-brand.
- Time Management – Effectively manage one’s own time, adjust to changing priorities, and meet all assigned deadlines despite interruptions.
- Proactiveness – Anticipate problems, needs, or changes and pivot accordingly.
- Problem Sensitivity – The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Comprehension and Expression – Comprehend and communicate information and ideas so that team members and clients will understand.
- Visual Communication Skills – Collaborate with a graphic designer and video editor to craft visuals that educate, motivate, and engage the viewer.
- Creativity – Creatively lead, attend to, and oversee innovative, unique, and original client campaigns from conception to implementation.
Requirements + Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in social media management
- Strong knowledge and familiarity of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Twitter
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, creative writing, English, or equivalent work experience required
- Passion for social media and ability to stay on top of trends and social media best practices
- Experience in adapting language, tone, and messaging to the audience of varying clients across industries
- Experience in successfully managing multiple long and short-term projects
- Ability to manage deadlines to deliver tasks on schedule and problem-solve through issues
- Must have availability to work during business hours of Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm
- Must be detail oriented, a clear communicator and a problem-solver

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
