Overview
TRC is seeking a Community, Workforce and Economic Development Leader to join TRC’s growing ESG and Climate Solutions advisory capability. TRC is a well-recognized and branded advisory services team that is growing with strong key client relationships with North American and global clients. The candidate will join other subject matter experts at TRC in executing Energy Transition and other Sustainability projects for clients in a wide range of industrial, investor, and governmental clients.
TRC is looking for a self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic about community, workforce, and economic development work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence. While this role will work directly on community engagement, workforce development, and economic planning projects, we are looking for a growing leader who also enjoys program management and business development. This role would include direct interaction with clients, including proposal development.
This individual may work remotely or report to a nearby TRC office.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively develop and articulate methodologies and detailed scopes of work for proposed and accepted client engagements
- Manage and produce deliverables including qualitative and quantitative community and economic development deliverables for clients
- Lead strategic planning, goal/target setting to facilitate conversations with stakeholders
- Support clients with complex project development for federally and state funded grants that focus on decarbonization and carbon reduction projects, including managing multiple stakeholders, community outreach, and application development
- Driven to build a leading team as we continue to grow our Community and Economic Development profile and work
- Collaborate with internal professionals on thought leadership content and materials
- Develop/write abstracts and proposals for speaking engagements at recognized industry conferences and events
- Ability to translate technical analysis embedded within community benefit plans into implementable strategies
- Ability to connect with diverse cultures and stakeholders while implementing workforce development programs and other strategies
- Mentor junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Community, Workforce and Economic Development roles
- 10 years of experience with providing consulting services, preferably working with an energy or environmental consulting/engineering firm
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills working with Senior Executives and External Stakeholders
