As a Cloud Ops Engineer at Theta Lake, your responsibilities include:
- Ensure availability, security, consistency, manageability, and cost efficiency of Theta Lake’s cloud-based products.
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Oversee Linux systems and cloud assets in AWS and Azure.
- Participate in a 24/7 call rotation, eventually managing and designing related processes.
- Research, recommend, deploy, and manage tools to ensure product infrastructure’s availability, security, consistency, manageability, and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to SOC2 Type 2 certification operations and engineering processes.
- Plan and maintain continuous delivery, coordinate hotfixes and feature releases.
- Utilize AWS and Azure knowledge to assist in planning feature development.
- Collaborate with Support in responding to customer issues.

- Passion for software engineering and building things.
- Prior professional operations experience on a cloud-based product (AWS or Azure).
- Excellent Linux shell scripting and system management skills.
Additional Skills (Optional)
- Understanding of security principles in cloud-based products.
- Experience with 24/7 monitoring and on-call rotations.
- Knowledge of operations tool chains (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and infrastructure as code.
- Coding proficiency in Python, Ruby, Go, C++, Javascript.
- Experience with software processes in a multi-developer environment.
- Troubleshooting and debugging production in a 24/7 uptime environment.
Job Details
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
