The UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center Research Program Manager
The UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Research Program Manager to work remotely, taking on responsibilities for planning, tracking, data analysis, reporting, and overseeing the administration and implementation of complex programs, projects, and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with PI(s) and team members to design internal timelines.
- Facilitate required reporting on either grant progress or for committee review.
- Assist with activities of internal and external advisory boards or other steering committees.
- Oversee tracking and maintaining program data, metrics, and outcomes.
- Identify, analyze, and improve upon existing project management processes.
- Facilitate research lab meetings, including agenda coordination and follow-up on action items.
- Establish close relationships with key collaborators and platform staff.
- Assist with IRB documentation, material transfer agreements, and data access agreements.
- Assist with data processing and transfer, internally and externally.
- Assist in drafting, editing, and submission of protocols, reports, letters, presentations, and other materials.
- Ensure proper compilation, analysis, and presentation of data results.
- Work with UVACCC staff to manage project-specific budgets.
- Work with UVACCC communications team to update websites and distribute program information.
- Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with UVACCC and external partners.
- Coordinate with PI(s), Associate Director of Research Development and Collaborations, and team members to organize grant submissions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree
- Experience: At least four years of relevant experience.

- Highly collaborative and capable of working well in a team.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, able to think logically about research processes.
- Flexible and able to respond quickly to changing issues and priorities involving multiple groups.
Physical Demands
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
