Job Description
The Associate Director of Innovation & Ecosystem Development Engagement in the Office of Innovation and Ecosystem Development (IED) will be responsible for working closely with the Associate Vice President, providing assistance with leadership and support for programming and events to support innovation and ecosystem development efforts across campus as well as assist the AVP with development, oversight, and management of IED internal and external engagement activities. This position also works closely with the Assistant Director of Operations providing administrative support to IED offices and units, including the SBDC at LSU, the SBDC State Office, Innovation and Technology Commercialization, NSF I-Corps, Innovation Park, etc. This position will provide proposal and post-award support as need and as appropriate for specialized projects aligning with IED strategic initiatives. The position must work in a team environment, exercise initiative and judgment, with attention to detail and requires a variety of complex skills involving professionalism, communication, discretion, confidentiality, diplomacy, and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience; Grant and financial-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in MBA, MPA, or related; 10+ years experience in a university setting supporting, managing and delivering complex projects and programs across multiple units; Grant related experience to include pre- and post-award support; financial reporting; HR; procurement; travel; student support to include serving as SEP; scholarship and award processing, creation and oversight; experience with state, federal and industry sponsors; experience with LSU Foundation accounts/reporting; excellent customer service skills.
