Redwood Strategy Group is currently accepting resumes for Acquisition Strategy Specialists for a subcontractor opportunity in support of the Defense Healthcare Management System.

If successful in our bid, this multi-year contract will offer an exciting remote position with quarterly travel to DC for training/meetings.

About the Program:

The Program Executive Office Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS) is a key acquisition organization within the Department of Defense (DoD), dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery for military service members, veterans, and their families.

PEO DHMS oversees three program management offices (PMO) focused on acquiring, delivering, and supporting IT solutions to achieve its healthcare objectives.

  • Modernized electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Operational Medicine Information Systems
  • Other technology solutions in military health

Position Overview:

As an Acquisition Strategy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting acquisition efforts across PEO DHMS, its PMOs, and the Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) office.

This mission-driven opportunity involves working closely with government program/product stakeholders, contracting specialists, and other acquisition professionals.

The ideal candidate possesses strong strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Developing acquisition strategies for efforts typically worth $50 – 400M per year
  • Understanding end-user requirements
  • Applying commercial best practices
  • Tailoring the Adaptive Acquisition Framework
  • Producing, reviewing, and editing DoD 5000 series and FAR/DFARS compliant documentation
  • Collaborating across multiple program offices and government agencies
  • Presenting to senior leadership

Key Requirements and Competencies:

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in acquisition or contracting efforts for specified pathways
  • Certification or experience in DevSecOps, Agile, and/or Scrum methods
  • Knowledge and experience with modern technology

Additional Helpful Experience:

  • Experience in a strategy or innovation role
  • Experience with technology startups or accelerators
  • Leadership experience in successful planning & completion of acquisition milestones

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
