Strongbridge Opportunity: Senior Software Developer

Strongbridge has an exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a passion for innovation to support our team. Specialize in the Microsoft technology stack and be moderately skilled in .NET, .NET Core, C#, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, and SQL with experience working with MVC or Web API, as well as Angular, and experience developing databases in SQL Server. Must have an understanding of building scalable, well-architected and high-performance web applications hosted in a distributed environment. The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining internal- and external-facing web applications and will work with a team of experienced analysts and developers to build enterprise integrated systems.

Key Activities Include:

  • Troubleshooting production problems related to software applications.
  • Responding to end user problem reports, reviewing suggestions for improvements and enhancement requests.
  • Interacting with customer stakeholders, end users, and team members to identify application requirements.
  • Enhancing and maintaining existing software components including user interfaces, APIs, services, databases, and reports.
  • Researching and prototyping proof of concept solutions based on client requirements and making recommendations to management.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IS, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience developing in .NET.
  • 5+ years of experience developing in C#.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL Server.
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience using CSS and JQuery.
  • Expert understanding of MS MVC, WEB API, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • Expert understanding of MS SQL Server 2008+ with the ability to write user-defined functions, stored procedures, analyze query plans and profiling traces.
  • Expert knowledge of: C#, SQL, ASP.NET / Familiarity with Entity Framework 6, or another object-relational library.
  • Hands-on understanding of all facets of the software development life cycle.

Desired Skills:

  • Additional Platforms/Tools: Selenium WebDriver, WPF, ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Configuration of Internet Information Services 8+ (IIS) running on Windows Server 2012+.
  • Desired certifications (optional): Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, Microsoft Certified Database Developer.
  • Angular 6/7, TypeScript experience.
