About the Role
As a Senior Product Security Manager, you will help architect plans for operationalizing strategic objectives. You will then action those plans through tactical implementation with your team by supporting the efforts of CBRE’s product engineering teams.
Our program is built on understanding the needs, and challenges faced by engineering teams, with the need to balance security implementation with feature development.
This job is a part of the Cybersecurity functional area, which is responsible for evaluating, testing, recommending, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining information systems (IS) and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware, and software. They also identify security risks and exposures, determine the causes of security violations, and suggest procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
What You’ll Do
- Continue to cultivate a generative, and collaborative culture within your globally distributed team
- Develop plans to operationalize strategic product security objectives by using your and your team’s knowledge, in coordination with the perspectives of engineering leaders in the organization
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to build partnerships, and understand their struggles to better support them, or identify areas of improvement to our program
- Provide formal supervision to employees; monitor the training and development of staff; conduct performance evaluations and coaching; oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Work with internal and external auditors; oversee audit support for application security and other areas; identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Work with application teams, vendors, business leaders, and product managers to define, create, and implement application security functionality and processes based on both end user needs.
- Ensure team is reviewing business, user and complex application security needs and documents requirements.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide and influence others to adopt a different point of view.
What You’ll Need
- Exceptional understanding of organizational change management, and how to partner with engineering teams to accomplish more than your team could on its own
- Well-founded opinions on product security based on industry trends, your continuing education, and personal experience
- Strong knowledge of how software is developed, implemented, and deployed using modern techniques; ideal candidate will have spent time in their career engineering software and/or process automation such as CICD pipelines
- Experience creating secure software development, and cloud security processes, with experience in at least one of AWS or Azure
- 7+ years of experience including 5+ years prior experience in a management role.
- Superb communication, organizational and complex problem-solving skills. Advanced logical and quantitative skills.
- Passion to inspire team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines and department.
- Ability to exchange and explain complex and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.

Compensation
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $180,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $220,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
