It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

Summary of the Job:

THE SPECIFICS

  • Communicate with customers who have experienced fraud or might be at risk
  • Reassure vulnerable customers that FNBO has their back against fraud
  • Determine the validity of fraudulent claims and hold cardholders accountable if needed
  • Conduct an in-depth investigation and attempt to identify a suspect
  • Contact law enforcement when necessary and provide important information
  • Research and submit suspicious activity referrals
  • Understand disputes and be able to work with the customer to resolve issues as applicable.
  • Understand chargeback life cycles for Visa, Mastercard and American Express
  • Input complete case information in conjunction with Federal Regulation E
  • Perform balance monitoring
  • Assist the Bankcard Recovery department by investigating claims of fraud and disputes on accounts in collections

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic PC skills required with the ability to master the software programs we use (FileNet, TBS, CRT, etc.)
  • A minimum of nine months of customer service experience
  • Chargeback experience is highly desired
  • Familiarity with the credit card or banking industry a plus
