As a Cloud Ops Engineer at Theta Lake, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, security, consistency, manageability, and cost efficiency of our cloud-based products. Your responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage our infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Oversee Linux systems and cloud assets in AWS and Azure.
- Participate in a 24/7 call rotation, eventually taking on management responsibilities and designing associated processes.
- Research, recommend, deploy, and manage tools to ensure the availability, security, consistency, manageability, and cost efficiency of our product infrastructure.
- Contribute to operations and engineering processes audited for our SOC2 Type 2 certification.
- Plan and maintain continuous delivery, coordinate hotfixes, and manage feature releases.
- Utilize your expertise in AWS and Azure to assist in planning feature development.
- Collaborate with Support to respond to customer issues, collecting information for communication and fixes.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Love of software engineering and passion for building things.
- Prior professional operations experience on a cloud-based product on AWS or Azure.
- Excellent Linux shell scripting and system management skills.
- Experience with security principles of cloud-based products, 24/7 monitoring, and on-call rotations.
- Knowledge of operations tool chains like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Coding proficiency in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, C++, Javascript.
- Experience with software processes in a multi-developer environment.
- Troubleshooting and debugging production in a 24/7 uptime environment.
