- Process Engineer-Stock Preparation
- Location: Appleton, WI
Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for start-up, commissioning, and optimization of Voith supplied stock preparation and approach flow equipment. The Process Engineer will lead all process activities on new installed recycling and virgin fiber systems or single equipment components.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and optimization of new and existing stock preparation & approach flow equipment
- Commissioning, start-up, and optimization of stock preparation equipment
- Develop and maintain start-up and commissioning checklists for your assigned projects.
- Optimization of system control loops in close cooperation with Controls Engineers
- Review and analyze customers’ stock preparation and approach flow system operations as part of system audits.
- Determine how to improve operations and/or to resolve problems by utilizing Voith’s papermaking machinery.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience in the papermaking industry as stock preparation superintendent, stock preparation process engineer, or closely related occupation
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
Physical Demands:
Employees in this position are regularly required to walk, stand, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are frequently required to reach with hands and arms. They are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds. Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in designated areas.
