Mid/Western Sales Engineer Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Johanson Technology Inc. is seeking fresh graduates with a background in Electrical Engineering, and Material Science Engineering who are keen on undergoing a six-month training program in our Camarillo, CA Corporate Facility. Upon completion, the selected candidates will relocate to Mid-west and work remotely while traveling to assigned territories at least 50%. Their primary responsibility will be to aid in expanding the company’s customer base through engineering sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for Johanson Forecasting and meeting forecast.
  • Develop a sales plan for driving representatives & manage them.
  • Goal of 20 customer meetings/month and publish call reports within 48 hours after meeting.
  • Work with Business/Product Development Managers to develop new business for their respective product lines.
  • Develop and execute growth plans with Johanson Distribution Account Managers and local regional distributors.
  • Penetrate customer’s organization and develop a rapport with the decision maker(s), design engineers and buyers.
  • Extract and report key qualifying new opportunity information (i.e., EAU, Production Start-up, Competition).
  • Coordinate with customers and the Johanson sales team worldwide in the Aero Space / Defense, Automotive, Industrial, Medical, and Telecom markets.
  • Work with customer and Johanson Engineering to identify new product opportunities as they occur.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Exceptional abilities in both written and verbal communication, as well as in delivering presentations.
  • Innately driven and enthusiastic towards acquiring knowledge and skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIALITY:

This position requires confidentiality; the company has many Non-Disclosure Agreements with customers who require confidentiality and occasionally will work with ITAR controlled documents. As such, US citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The position operates in a home office environment and requires travel throughout assigned territory or as designated by Management. Traveling via automobile, train, and airplane as necessary. This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. Remote work associates who begin a Remote Work arrangement must have, at a minimum, a reliable, high-speed internet connection for remote access (VPN), consisting of 25 Mbps or greater download speeds and 5 Mbps upload or greater, a cell phone meets company requirements and a headset/earbuds with microphone and noise canceling capability.

This is a full-time exempt position. Forty or more (40+) hours within a workweek

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s in Engineering.
0-3 years of experience in technical sales
