As a Software Engineer at Lakera, you will contribute to building products that enable organizations globally to responsibly integrate GenAI. Your code will secure AI applications at scale across various use cases and industries, impacting hundreds of millions.

About You:

None of these are strict requirements but do illustrate what type of people would be most effective at Lakera right now. Ideally, you:

  • Have at least 5+ years of experience working on complex software systems;
  • Are familiar with production-level Python, C++, Golang, or another interesting set of programming languages;
  • Have an eye for pragmatism while maintaining exceptional engineering standards;
  • Enjoy taking ownership, being hands-on, and making decisions under uncertainty;
  • Bring a sense for what makes a great product from an engineering perspective;
  • Thrive on translating your ideas into tangible products with wide reach;
  • Aspire to play a pivotal role in defining the future of secure AI within a mission-driven company with ambitious goals.


Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we would like staff to be in the office 2 – 3 days a week.

Compensation and Benefits:

Our compensation package consists of three elements: salary, equity, and benefits.

We are committed to paying fairly and aim for these three elements collectively to be highly competitive with market rates. Equity – On top of this position’s compensation, equity will be a major component of the total compensation. We aim to offer higher-than-average equity compensation for a company of our size and communicate equity amounts at the time of offer issuance.


  • Optional equity: 1 year cliff, then 25% of options vest immediately After this, each month 75%/36 options vest until all of them have vested.
