Iris Systems Senior Developer Responsibilities:
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- 3+ years experience designing and building integrations with InterSystems Ensemble/IRIS
- 2+ years experience creating automated unit tests with %UnitTest package
- 3+ years of Cache ObjectScript (COS) experience
- 3+ years of Structured Query Language (SQL) – any dialect
- Knows HL7v2 message types and common event types and can explain them to others
- Knows IRIS RecordMaps, ComplexRecordMaps, and Batches and can explain them to others
- Knows the various IRIS Globals and can explain them to others
- Can produce a low-level design diagram (boxes-and-arrows, formal UML, etc.) from requirements that is suitable for use by peers for construction
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review functional and technical specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Mentor junior peers on best practices and propose solutions when they are unsure how to solve for a requirement.
- Perform code reviews for all peers.
- Work with minimal direction, guided by project objectives.
Stand-Out Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience in Healthcare or Healthcare IT
- Experience with X12 EDI (HIPAA)
- Experience with IRIS Embedded Python
