We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a strong knowledge of current events to join our phone fundraising team for the International Rescue Committee!
- Seeking articulate, professional, and enthusiastic callers/salespeople
- Previous political/advocacy fundraising experience is a plus
- Training provided for the right match
- MUST be comfortable asking for $5,000 or more
Job Profile:
- Minimum of 18-20 hours per week (4 full shifts)
- Flexible shifts: Mon-Thurs 4-9pm, Fri 11am-3pm, Sat 10am-2pm EST
- Base wage of $13 per hour, plus 2-3% commission on credit card gifts
- Guaranteed to earn state minimum wage
- Average successful caller makes between $20-$25/hr
- Bonuses for large gifts
- Mandatory paid training on Friday 12/01
- No cold calling and no canvassing
- Entirely remote/work from home
- Flexible schedule – you choose your shifts each week!
Requirements:
- Must be knowledgeable about current global events
- Successful sales and/or fundraising background
- Computer savvy with proficiency on multiple softwares/platforms
- Ability to follow directions and convincingly read from a script
- High-quality customer service attitude
- Must have computer or laptop with headset or headphones and good internet connection
- Persistent, diligent work ethic; self-motivated while being a team player
- Must be a US Citizen and working from one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, or California (Los Angeles and San Diego ONLY)
