Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day support to our Accounting and Tax departments, requiring a high level of confidentiality and exceptional attention to detail.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll tax returns and payments for multiple clients and states.
- Prepare daily tax payments and respond to routine tax-related questions.
- Maintain a tracking spreadsheet for tax-related correspondence and department deadlines.
- Collaborate with the team in automating regular tax filings.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and working with tax authorities.
- Support accounts payable, conduct balance sheet account reconciliations, and assist with annual 1099s.
- Assist Tax Manager, Accounting Manager, and Finance Director with special projects.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and complete assigned tasks/duties.
Work Environment
While performing the duties, the Staff Accountant will work in an office setting, partially in the office and partially remotely. Remote work requires a quiet workspace, stable internet connection, and the ability to work without distractions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands include using hands and fingers, sitting for long periods, standing, talking, and hearing.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Expert in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook applications.
- Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and maintain a team player attitude.
- Effective communication skills with patience and a calm demeanor.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing situations.
- Organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Professional and effective communication skills.

What We Offer

- Pay range of $50,000-$60,000, DOE
