Position Overview
Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Tax Preparer is an experienced accountant with a keen eye for detail and efficient time management. Key success factors include prior tax preparation experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage unexpected matters while maintaining client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with the online organizer process.
- Input source document material into our tax software.
- Prepare various tax returns, including 990, 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
- Follow up with clients on missing documents.
- Prepare and submit extensions.
- Update project management tool with return status.
- Conduct tax research as necessary.
Qualifications/Skills
- Associate’s degree in accounting.
- 2+ years of accounting and tax preparation experience.
- Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Innovative thinker with a positive ‘can do’ approach.
Nice to Have/Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience in a paperless environment.
- Previous experience with Proconnect and Tax Dome.
Compensation / Benefits
