WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT?
As our new Sales Support Specialist, you will join our K12 sales and sales support team in supporting our California customers. You will play an important role by handling both pre and post-sales activities and inquiries.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Provide support to sales reps on a variety of pre and post-sale projects
- Keep Sales Reps informed of account activity, outstanding issues, and requests from clients
- Support clients on a variety of post-sale inquiries
- Partner with assigned sales representatives to ensure all client-related inquiries are dealt with in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Follow up on issues as needed to ensure that they are suitably resolved
- Ensure a superior customer experience to contribute to account retention and growth by building quality relationships
- Assist with coordinating contracts, including executing simple bids, sole source letters, RFP’s, and updating the contract database
- Help manage the coordination of state adoption sales tracking
- Manage event and freelance resource logistics, including freelance trainers
- Coordinate training and sales presentations
- Assist in the creation of customized marketing collateral as needed
- Update and maintain customer/account information in our CRM (Salesforce)
- Provide informal product trainings via email, phone, and/or webinar upon request
- Create purchase orders, requisitions, and check requests
YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 3+ years of experience in client services, sales support, customer support, account management, or similar
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong relationship building and account management skills
- Strong technical aptitude and experience with MS Office applications and using a CRM
- Willingness to work Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours and to travel up to 10%
IDEAL IF YOU HAVE or ARE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
- Experience with Salesforce.com
- Experience in the education, education technology, publishing, or similar industry
- Experience supporting an inside or outside sales team
- Prior experience delivering customer presentations
- Prior experience with event logistics
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
LOCATION
Remote: This role requires current residence in the state of California (ideal), Nevada, or Arizona. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
SALARY RANGE:
$50,000 annual to $60,000 annual
This position is Non-Exempt and paid hourly. It is eligible for additional incentive based on employee and organizational performance.
